Are elderly at risk of any disease?

Elderly that are more than 50 years old have been using their body for a long time and it started to deteriorate and decay as they age. So, they have to take care of their body well to reduce the chance of getting a disease. 

 

3 dangerous diseases

 1.Coronary artery disease

The arteries of the elderly have gradually decayed. The visible symptoms are tightness at the chest, easily tired when using energy or exercise, shortness in breath , not fully breathing. These symptoms can happen as acute or intermittent symptoms.  

Coronary artery disease is caused by cholesterol accumulation , which causes narrowing of arteries that is a cause of acute heart failure , so they should visit the doctor regularly to check-up the health of heart and arteries.

 2.Diabetes

It can be caused by genetics and a habit of eating too much carbohydrate food that causes insulin resistance , resulting in too much sugar in your body.

The visible symptoms are frequent urination or thirst, dramatically loss in weight without cause. Diabetes can also cause complications such as blurred vision, blindness, kidney failure . We can control the diabete by visiting the doctor regularly, adjusting eating habits and regularly exercising. 

3.High Blood Pressure (Hypertension)

It has a critical effect on the function of the heart, causing various diseases such as heart failure, abnormal heart rhythms. The causes of high blood pressure in the elderly are from aging, consuming too much salt, getting stressed, and not having sufficient rest. It is a disease that oftenly no symptoms and cannot be controlled. If it is left untreated, it can cause other diseases such as coronary artery disease and paralysis

If we take care of our body well, eat nutritious food, do exercise regularly, take enough rest and check-up your body routinely can keep you away from diseases.
