Heat stroke, summer disease that should be careful in children

 

Today’s weather has a higher temperature thanks to global warming, and outdoor life has to be more cautious because of the heat stroke that might be caused. Especially when children are playing outdoors for a long time unconsciously, it might be severe to the life-threatening level.

Usually, our body has an average temperature at 36.1-37 degrees celsius, both for adults and children. Whether what you are doing, the body’s temperature will get higher if the temperature of the environment around you is high. The body will expel the heat to the surrounding atmosphere. If the heat can’t be expelled from the body, the body's temperature will be higher and cause the heat stroke. 

 

Observing the heat stroke

The symptoms are taking for a short period. Parents should take a look carefully.

1.Kids feel tired while doing an activity in the roofed place but have no sufficient air circulation or sweaty activity.

2.The kids with symptoms of heat stroke looked like they had a fever but they’re cold when touched.

3.Feel nausea, cramp. the body’s temperature will rise to 40 degrees celsius and might be faint. 

 

How to handle heat stroke

1.Take the child to a roofed place and circulating air well or air conditioned place. 

2.Lie the kids down then raise the feet up higher than their head to circulating blood well. 

3.Undone their clothes to aids heat expelling

4.Use a damp towel to cool the temperature down. If the children are conscious, gradually give them water to drink.

 

Protection of heat stroke

1.Avoid doing an activity at a sunny place and place with no air circulation.

2.Wear clothes that circulate the air well.

3.Stay hydrated.

4.Overweight kids or kids who have congenital disease should avoid doing risky activities.

Children might be unaware of the danger of heat stroke so parents should carefully take a look at your kids, to help them in time and lower the chance of severity.
