5 Ways to reduce menstruation cramp

It is a problem that almost every woman will face because of the stomach ache during menstruation. It is a pain that you might not be able to sleep or be an obstruction when working.  We have 5 basic ways to reduce stomach ache and an indication that will tell you if there’s unusual symptoms and if it needs to visit the doctor.

Menstruation pain caused by contraction of the uterus, leading to delayed or crampy pain. Additional symptoms may include lower back pain, nausea, vomiting, sweating, diarrhea, constipation, bloating, dizziness, and headache.

Type of menstruation cramp symptoms

The symptoms from menstruation cramp can be divided into 2 types

1.Primary menstruation cramp caused by intake of Prostaglandin, which is generated in the endometrial layer during menstruation, resulting in contraction of the uterus and cramp in uterus muscle.

2.Secondary menstruation cramp caused by unusual condition of uterus or genital, which these condition is the one of cause that leads to severe or chronic menstruation cramp. 

 

5 ways to fix and reduce the menstruation cramp

1.Hot massage at the lower abdomen

It is the easiest way to treat the menstruation cramp by using hot water bag massaging at the lower abdomen or area that feels cramped, promoted in widening veins and better blood circulation. 

2.Drinking tea

Many kinds of tea have properties in pain relieving, but should be drunk in appropriate amounts. Because drinking too much water or tea can cause more frequent urinating and cramping. 

3.Avoid fatty food and eat vegetable

Eating fatty food will cause indigestion and feel not comfortable. It is recommended to use olive oil instead of other types of oil and eat vegetables and fruit to reduce waste in our body. 

4.Exercising

Doing exercise for 40-60 minutes, at least 3 times a week regularly will help increase endorphin which is the subsistence of happiness that reduces menstruation cramps.

5.Meditating and Yoga

Meditation can help relieve stress. Doing yoga strengthens the muscle and enhances flexibility of the body that helps relieve menstruation cramps.
