Influenza disease is caused by influenza flu which is causing acute symptoms in the respiratory system . It is a disease that has the highest death rate in the elderly. And it will risk to occur the severe disease in life-threatening level to the chronic patient. 

Factors that make elderly are risked

1.Deteriorated immunity

Immune system is a protective mechanism from the germs but immunity will gradually deteriorate by aging. As you age you will gain more risk of getting sick from infection.

2.Medical conditions

Elderly with chronic diseases such as diabetes , cancer . If they are infected with influenza, there will be more risk of causing complications. Some patients might get life-threatening severity.

3. Frailty in elderly

It is one of the body conditions that is in between functioning ability and disability. Some influenza infected elderly people lose the ability to do daily life things by themself.
