Death by falling asleep and never waking up again.

Sudden Unexplained Nocturnal Death syndrome (SUNDS) or Sudden cardiac death is a condition that leads to death during sleep with unknown cause. It is suspected to result from abnormalities in the heart's electrical system or structural anomalies in the heart .

4 Main causes of Sudden Unexplained Nocturnal Death syndrome (SUNDS)

1.A deficiency in the essential mineral potassium affects heart rhythm. When the body lacks potassium, the heart muscles may not receive sufficient blood supply, leading to a potential fatal outcome.

2.Consuming food contaminated with toxins can be harmful to heart muscles.

3.Severe Vitamin B1 deficiency can result in fatigue and a strong desire to sleep. This deficiency may lead to heart failure and, eventually, death.

4.Certain inherited conditions, such as Brugada Syndrome (a genetic disorder affecting sodium channels in the heart muscle cells) and Long QT Syndrome (a disorder of the heart's electrical activity), can be fatal.

Symptoms that indicated Sudden cardiac arrest.

Sudden cardiac arrest, although it can occur abruptly, may present some warning signs in certain individuals. Therefore, if you notice abnormal symptoms such as loss of consciousness while awake, feeling lightheaded, or fainting while lying down, along with stiffness in the arms and legs, noisy or gurgling breathing, seizures, loss of bladder and bowel control, or a bluish-green discoloration of the face and around the mouth, it is crucial to seek medical attention promptly. These symptoms serve as early indicators of irregular heartbeats, potentially leading to sudden cardiac arrest in the future.

People with the risk to be Sudden Unexplained Nocturnal Death syndrome

1. People those were have the member that died from sudden cardiac death or have the symptoms that shows arrhythmia (abnormal heart rates)

2. Patients who have had arrhythmia problems since birth

3. People who have an abnormal electrocardiogram, Brugada type.

First aid of sudden cardiac death patient

Lie the patient down on the ground and assess the patient, if they not breathing or have no heart rate, do the CPR by pressing the chest of the patient 1.5 inches down and let it rest with frequency of 100 times per minute and keep doing it until the doctor arrive or the patient gains their conscious and the heart start beating again.

Sudden cardiac death is the disease that causes death to the patient with unknown cause and people who died from this disease often have no unusual symptoms of the health, so if there are some suspicious symptoms, consult with a specialized doctor to assess risks and find appropriate prevention methods.
